The department consists of three administrative units:
- Registration Unit
- Student Affairs Unit
- Documents and Certification Unit
The department is responsible for the following tasks:
- Receiving centralized admission lists for graduates from preparatory studies issued by the University Presidency/Registration and Student Affairs Department, and distributing them to college faculties along with the minimum requirements for each academic year.
- Supervising student admissions through all application channels including (direct admission, evening studies admission, parallel morning education, etc.) according to instructions from the University Presidency and Ministry of Higher Education for each academic year.
- Processing student appeals, modifying their nominations, and handling student transfers and hosting between Iraqi universities as well as transfers from outside Iraq.
- Issuing administrative orders for graduates and publishing them on the college's website.
- Preparing special reports on admitted, registered, and active students as well as participants in final exams, success rates, students with modified nominations, and students transferred to/from the college, while developing an annual admission plan for morning and evening studies in coordination with the Planning and Follow-up Unit in the college.
- Maintaining and archiving all official correspondence received by the department from ministries and government institutions.
- Verifying documents issued by the college, including auditing administrative orders for college graduates for each academic year and all examination sessions.
