The Public Law Department was established at the College of Law, University of Fallujah in the academic year 2020-2021 after completing the requirements for launching the Master's program in Public Law in 2019. The department oversees the affairs of faculty members and students in both undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as monitoring their scientific research activities to overcome any obstacles that may hinder their proper progress.
The Public Law Department is responsible for monitoring academic curricula and completing study courses for both undergraduate and graduate levels in the Master's program, according to its defined tasks and authorities. The department follows up on the implementation of courses related to Public Law such as Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, International Public Law, and Financial Law. The department is headed by one of the college faculty members, Dr. Ammar Rajab Maishar (Associate Professor), assisted by Dr. Khalid Ahmed Ali (Associate Professor) as the department's academic coordinator. The department includes a select group of faculty members with various academic titles specializing in different branches of Public Law.
Department Vision
The department seeks to enrich both graduate and undergraduate students with scientific capabilities and expertise through ensuring the quality and modernity of study courses, particularly in graduate studies, while maintaining the academic rigor of the teaching staff with their accumulated experience in scientific research.
Department Mission
To prepare legal cadres specializing in Public Law for graduate studies and educate them at the undergraduate level, refining their theoretical skills while reinforcing these skills practically through a pre-designed program students receive via the Virtual Court course.
Department Objectives
- To prepare specialists in Public Law capable of meeting society's needs for legal expertise in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Financial Law, and International Public Law.
- To address societal problems by monitoring, analyzing, and confronting them through scientific seminars that provide appropriate solutions, whether through academic forums held within the college or through faculty members' participation in external scientific activities at research centers and other universities related to societal issues inside and outside Iraq.
- To actively engage in community service activities to the extent possible at both faculty and student levels.
