In response to the requirements for academic accreditation at the College of Law, University of Fallujah, the training workshop was held entitled (Academic Rights and Freedoms), attended by Dr. Ahmed Talal Abdel Hamid, teacher of public law. The target group was the teaching staff of the college. It addressed the definition of academic rights and freedoms such as the right to teach, the right to scientific research, the right to professional development, the right to independence and justice in academic treatment, the right to protect the academic from malicious accusations or abuse, and the protection of intellectual property rights for research. The axis of the principle of independence of universities from an administrative and scientific perspective and the role of this principle in promoting academic freedoms and the advancement of the academic community were also addressed.
