Within the directions of the College of Law and in line with its vision of preparing highly qualified graduates and in order to provide our college graduates and students with technical skills in the fields of computer and electronic information in a way that contributes to investing all of this in the fields of legal work, the college held this Wednesday, 3/26/2025, and through its Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, a workshop entitled (Social and Legal Dimensions of Cybersecurity), in which one of the college’s teaching staff, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Abdel Karim, lectured. Jassim), in which he discussed the impact of cybersecurity on society and the risks of cybercrime in the use of artificial intelligence technologies and social networking sites, such as fraud and extortion. The need for cooperation between individuals and institutions to confront cyber threats and the importance of activating laws to protect data and enhance digital security were also stressed.
