On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Law, University of Fallujah, held a workshop entitled: (Manifestations of Domestic Violence against Women and its Impact on Society). The lecture was attended by the teaching assistant, Dr. Shaima Shaker Khashman, head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, the teaching assistant, Omar Suleiman Saeed, the head of the Human Rights Unit, and the teaching assistant, Aseel Amer Hammoud. This workshop addressed the concept of violence against women, nominally, in United Nations documents and some international documents, such as the Universal Declaration to Eliminate Violence against Women. It stressed the rights of women, and that violence against them constitutes a violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and has a profound impact on women’s health and society. The legal and legal position and reasons behind violence against women were addressed, and it also addressed solutions and treatments that would contribute to eliminating violence against women.
