Protecting Ideas and Innovations under the Legal Frameworks for Registering Startups

Protecting Ideas and Innovations under the Legal Frameworks for Registering Startups

The Technology Incubator Unit, in cooperation with the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Law / University of Fallujah, held a scientific lecture on Monday, April 13, 2026, titled:

"Protecting Ideas and Innovations under the Legal Frameworks for Registering Startups."

This event forms part of the Unit's ongoing efforts to promote an entrepreneurial culture and support students and graduates in transforming their ideas into practical, implementable projects.

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Latif Saleh, faculty member at the College of Law / University of Fallujah. He addressed the legal frameworks that safeguard ideas and innovations, outlined the mechanisms for registering startup companies, and reviewed the key challenges facing entrepreneurs in this field—along with practical solutions in accordance with applicable legislation.

The lecture was attended by a number of college students and interested participants, who actively engaged with the session through questions and interactive discussions. This exchange enriched the dialogue and enhanced the academic and practical value of the event.

This activity is part of a series of initiatives organized by the College aimed at developing students' legal and applied competencies, and strengthening the link between academic learning and labor market requirements.
