Dr. Thaer Hamid Awad, a lecturer in our college, participated in the workshop entitled ((Amending the Personal Status Law between Scientific Necessity and Sectarian Difference)) which was held on Monday, 10/7/2024, at the College of Administration and Economics, and the following topics were addressed: The first topic: the historical rooting of the Personal Status Law, the second topic: the positive amendment to the Personal Status Law, and the third topic: the negative amendment to the Personal Status Law... These topics were addressed from a legal and jurisprudential perspective, where It discussed the issue of the repercussions and seriousness of this proposed amendment on the social fabric in terms of sectarian differences and the obligation of both parties to the contract to follow them, as well as other problems that this amendment could cause.
