A master’s thesis at the College of Law, University of Fallujah, discussing the legal personality of conjoined twins. With God Almighty’s blessings. On Thursday, January 18, 2024, the College of Law discussed a master’s thesis in private law, tagged ((The legal personality of conjoined twins - a comparative study with Islamic jurisprudence)) and submitted by master’s student Israa Sahban Safaa. Conjoined twins are one of the ancient and modern social phenomena whose existence dates back to the era of Adam Abu al-Bashir. They have become famous in our present time when they reached The media has developed a world-wide study of this issue due to the lack of legal regulation of conjoined twins, specifically with regard to their legal personality and legal status in the Arab and Islamic countries. Conjoined twins raise many legal and legal problems revolving around the absence of legal regulation in Iraq regarding the case of conjoined twins, their legal status and personality, and the extent of observance of human rights, especially the right to life, freedom and privacy. This study concluded with a conclusion that included the most important findings of this study. The study based on the results and mother of these results is that there are two criteria for determining the personality of conjoined twins. The first is a medical standard that depends on the multiple main organs, the heart and brain, and the second is the behavioral feeling standard that depends on the biology of needs and the moral of feeling and emotion. The discussion committee consisted of: Prof. Dr. Dara Hammad Abd, Chairman, Prof. Dr. Amal Kazem Saud, Member, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Saleh Latif, Member, Prof. Dr. Saad Hussein Abd, Member and Supervisor. After an extensive study, For the thesis and when the discussion committee heard the student’s defenses for her thesis, the committee decided to accept the thesis and grant the student a master’s degree.
