International Commercial Arbitration Competition On Saturday, February 10, 2024, within the College of Law, Fallujah University, the first oral arbitration session was held for our college team (students) participating in the competition held under the auspices of the Saudi Center for International Commercial Arbitration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The college team participated electronically in the oral pleading, representing the appellant against the King Abdulaziz University team / Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after this was preceded by the submission of the written regulations within the timings approved by the aforementioned center, and the representation came. The arbitrator in the arbitral case at hand after presenting the defenses that contribute to the arbitral tribunal’s conviction of the team’s capabilities, their legal proposals, the extent of understanding the case and its factual and legal data, and our team will have another round tomorrow. The above participation comes within the purposeful student activities of our college, in which the college is keen to participate and create the necessary capabilities for that, in order to consolidate a sound understanding of the law and agreements related to commercial arbitration, keep up with the practical reality, and mix the scientific and practical aspects for the purpose of training students and urging them to participate in scientific activities that contribute to their training and qualification to work in the field of arbitration or other related fields.
