Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Raed Naji Ahmed, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Law/University of Fallujah held on Wednesday, 11/27/2024, an educational workshop on the rights and duties of female teachers and employees. The lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Talal Abdel Hamid, Professor of Administrative Law at the College. The workshop addressed two topics: the first / about the most important duties that fall on the employee, which are: The most important of which is coming to work on time and adhering to the directives and instructions related to his job. It is also the duty of the subordinate to obey his administrative head and not carry out orders that violate the law and respect the job inside and outside the department. As for the second axis / about the rights that the public employee enjoys, which are the same as they apply to male and female teaching staff, and an explanation of the most important guarantees that the law provides to the employee, the most important of which is conducting an administrative investigation before imposing the penalty, also giving the employee the opportunity to defend. On his own behalf by bringing documents and evidence, as well as the right to appeal the penalty imposed on the employee. The lecture also addressed the employee’s right to a bonus, promotion, and advancement when its conditions are met, and other rights referred to in the Discipline Law for State and Public Sector Employees. This lecture was held under the direction of the Ministry in the letter (MRM/84) on 11/12/2024, which included raising awareness among female teachers. Female employees have their rights and duties, and it is not one of the topics of the annual plan, but the Women’s Affairs Department in the Ministry is keen every time to give female employees great attention in all areas, the most important of which is raising the legal and administrative level of female employees, so it was decided to hold this workshop.
