About the Public Law Department at the University of Fallujah College of Law
The Public Law Department at the University of Fallujah College of Law was established in the academic year 2020-2021, following the completion of requirements for launching the Master's program in Public Law in 2019. The department undertakes the task of overseeing the affairs of teaching staff and students in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, in addition to monitoring their scientific research activities to overcome any difficulties that may impede their proper progress.
The Public Law Department has been assigned the responsibility of monitoring scientific curricula and ensuring the completion of study courses within the undergraduate and postgraduate programs (Master's level), according to its defined duties and authorities. The department follows up on the implementation of courses related to Public Law, such as Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Public International Law, and Financial Law. The department is headed by one of the college's teaching staff, Dr. Sufyan Lateef Ali Obeid, assisted by Dr. Ziyad Aboud Manajid in his capacity as Department Coordinator. The department includes an elite group of teaching staff with diverse academic ranks, specializing in various branches of Public Law.
Department Vision:
The department seeks to enrich undergraduate and postgraduate students with scientific capabilities and expertise by ensuring the quality and modernity of study courses, particularly at the postgraduate level, while maintaining the academic rigor of the teaching staff based on their accumulated experience in scientific research.
Department Mission:
To prepare legal cadres specializing in Public Law for postgraduate studies, educate them at the undergraduate level, refine their theoretical skills, and reinforce these skills practically through a pre-designed program delivered to students via the Virtual Court course.
Department Objectives:
To prepare specialists in Public Law capable of meeting society's need for legal expertise in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Financial Law, and Public International Law.
To address societal challenges by monitoring, analyzing, and confronting them through organizing scientific seminars that propose appropriate solutions. This is achieved either via academic forums held within the college or through the participation of the department's teaching staff in external scientific activities at research centers and other universities concerned with societal issues inside and outside Iraq.
To actively engage in community service activities to the extent possible, contributing through both teaching staff and students.
