Under the generous sponsorship and honorable presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, President of the University of Fallujah, and under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Raed Naji Ahmed, Dean of the College. With the blessing of God Almighty, the College of Law at the University of Fallujah held on Tuesday, 12/24/2024, its first scientific symposium for the current academic year 2024-2025, tagged: ((amending the personal status law, its pros and cons)) and in the hall of Judge Zia Shet, a speech was given in the college. The symposium included an objective discussion and within a purely legal and scientific context amending the mentioned law by addressing the positive aspects that it will entail. It must amend the aspects that can raise legal problems in the field of application and reality, while presenting recommendations and proposals that can address these problems at the level of the family’s personal status. The symposium was attended by teaching specialists in personal status law and Islamic jurisprudence, namely Professor Dr. Adel Nasser Hussein, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman Saleh Latif, and Dr. Thaer Hamid Awad.
