Rights of Persons with Disabilities

Under the activities of the Human Rights Unit, a workshop titled (Rights of Persons with Disabilities) was held on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

The workshop aimed to promote awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities, elucidate the legal and humanitarian aspects that ensure their protection and equality, and foster a culture of respect for this group, guaranteeing their full integration into society.

The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Saleh Lateef and Assistant Lecturer Naba Rikan Fajr, who provided a scientific presentation covering the most important national legislation and international conventions related to the rights of persons with disabilities, emphasizing the crucial awareness-raising role of academic institutions in supporting these rights.

The workshop witnessed active engagement from students through questions and interventions, which enriched the discussion and achieved the intended benefit of the activity, as part of the Human Rights Unit's efforts to disseminate human rights culture among students and promote the values of justice.
