The Impact of the Arabic Language on Understanding and Interpreting Legal Texts

The Continuing Education Unit at the college held a scientific workshop on Monday, 4/6/2026, titled:
(The Impact of the Arabic Language on Understanding and Interpreting Legal Texts).
The workshop was presented by Asst. Lect. Amna Jamil Hammad.

The workshop addressed a number of important themes, most notably explaining the close relationship between language and law, the impact of linguistic structures on understanding legal texts, as well as identifying linguistic connotations and their role in accurately interpreting legal texts. It also touched upon the importance of properly employing the Arabic language in legal drafting to ensure clarity of meaning and precision of expression.

The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees, given the importance of the topic in enhancing legal understanding based on sound linguistic foundations.
