Under the generous sponsorship and honorable presence of (Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad), President of the University of Fallujah, and (Prof. Suleiman Barak Dayeh), Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, and under the direct supervision of (Prof. Raed Naji Ahmed), Dean of the College. On Tuesday, 4/2/2024, the College of Law at the University of Fallujah held its third scientific symposium for the academic year 2023-2024, tagged ((Supporting investment in residential complexes regarding... Legal protection for the consumer.) The symposium included two axes: The first axis: (Guarantees for the transfer of ownership of the real estate unit under construction to the buyer), which was lectured by Professor Dr. Saad Hussein Abd. The second axis: (The legal adjustment of contracts for the purchase of residential units and its impact on the extent of consumer protection) and which was lectured by Professor Dr. Dara Hammad Abd. The issue of residential complexes or residential units raises many problems, including what are the guarantees granted to the buyer for obtaining the title deed for the residential unit that He bought it, and the project management is not committed to transferring ownership of the unit until all stages of the project are completed. The other problem also relates to the nature of these contracts: are they contracts of adhesion, ordinary contracts based on mutual consent between the two parties, or contracts of a special nature?
